WHAT TO EXPECT
POLICIES AND PAYMENTS
Your Mind Power, LLC is a fee-for-service practice. All sessions are the client's financial responsibility. Forty-eight (48) hours prior notice is required if there is a need to cancel or change the time of an appointment, otherwise the client will be charged for the session in full.
The practice does not participate with insurance companies or managed care plans, nor does it accept assignment of benefits. Your Mind Power, LLC practitioners are considered to be Out-of-Network providers with most insurance companies. Clients can contact their insurance companies to find out if their plan includes out-of-network benefits and the percentage of reimbursement that the insurance plan covers. Billing information is provided for clients to independently submit claims to their insurance companies for reimbursement. Checks, cash, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) are accepted.

*The secure online video sessions are available to all coaching clients and psychotherapy clients who reside in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
The initial psychotherapy and brain injury coaching intake sessions with Dr. Monica Robb lasts 60 minutes. The session will focus on your present situation and personal history relevant to the described issue(s). You will have the opportunity to discuss any current or future goals you would like to achieve, and expectations, questions, or concerns you may have regarding the process. At the conclusion of this session, you will be given Dr. Robb's initial impressions and recommendations.
Ongoing sessions are typically scheduled weekly (psychotherapy sessions are 45-minutes and brain injury coaching sessions are 60 minutes). However, longer sessions can be scheduled as necessary. The initial session will focus on goal setting. This is a collaborative process where your active participation helps shape future sessions. Often, you will have "homework", things to do outside of the session in order to make steady progress toward the achievement of your goals.
